Screening Round
The screening round is the first stage of the PowerNextAI Hackathon. All registered teams must complete the screening to be considered for the main event. It is designed to assess your team's foundational understanding of AI and power-sector data.
What You'll Receive
Each registered team will receive the following materials to work with during the screening round:

Test Dataset (CSV)
A real-world power sector dataset in CSV format. You will be required to analyze, clean, and extract meaningful insights from this data.

Problem Statement Document
A detailed document describing the problem context, the questions to answer, and the expected output format.

Submission Guidelines
Step-by-step instructions on how to submit your work, including format requirements and the submission deadline.
Evaluation Criteria
Data Analysis
Ability to explore, clean, and understand the dataset.
AI / ML Application
Appropriate use of AI or ML techniques to solve the problem.
Accuracy & Insight
Quality and correctness of findings and conclusions.
Presentation
Clarity and structure of the submitted report or notebook.
Important Notes
- The screening materials (CSV + documents) will be shared with registered teams via the portal after registration closes.
- Teams selected through the screening will be invited to the main hackathon on 10 September, where they will receive everything needed to work on their project.
- All submissions must be original work. Plagiarism or misrepresentation will result in immediate disqualification.
- Results will be communicated via email to the team leader.
